The look on my wife's face seemed to be a cross between shock and amusement, with maybe some confused disappointed sprinkled in there. She could hear me repeating something to myself, and it was obviously causing the problem. I looked at her, confused. She said, "Why do you keep saying that?"
"Because I'm trying to remind myself of what I keep forgetting to pickup when I go to town." I replied.
"What!?" She said in more confusion.
"What do you think I'm saying," I asked, even more confused.
She said, "Hot tub gals!"
I laughed. "No. I was saying, 'Hot-dipped galve.' Hot-dipped galvanized nails are a type of nails I need for the construction I'm doing, and I'm out, and I keep forgetting to get more."
"Well I had never heard you talk that way before, and I was confused," she said.
A little communication goes a long way, I guess.
